Fisher Lane Bridge in Greenburgh replaced

Drivers and commuters who use the North White Plains Metro-North train station are being greeted with some good news today: the Fisher Lane Bridge has been replaced.

The bridge, which is one of the connectors to North Broadway and the Bronx River Parkway, was replaced over the weekend.

Construction officials said it was necessary to make the fixes, because the area is so heavily traveled. Both motorists and pedestrians are happy it could be done in one weekend.

Crews blame road salt and water from the Bronx River for the bridge's short life.
