Mob hit or suicide? Police probe digs deeper

Police are still trying to determine if the death of a Yonkers businessman was suicide or a mob assassination.

Yonkers police still can't say exactly what happened to Robert Van Zandt, who was found floating in his pool more than two weeks ago behind his Brendan Hill Road home.

Van Zandt was shot in the head and an illegal handgun was found by police, but no suicide note.

Yonkers police say they are continuing to work on the case with several different law enforcement agencies. Police probe ex-con's death initially ruled a suicide
