Ballots in Independence Party primary for WC board under scrutiny

The race in the Independence Party primary for the 7th County Board District has raised some questions after officials say they found three uncounted ballots.

The race is between incumbent Democratic County Legislator Judy Meyers and her Republican challenger, Suzanna Keith.

Officials say they located the ballots after the original count showed a narrow victory by Meyers.

Also in contention is more than two dozen emergency ballots cast on Primary Day.

The validity of those ballots will likely be decided by Judge Mary Smith on Monday afternoon.
