Tuckahoe woman accused in mom's death gets probation

A Tuckahoe woman admitted to beating her mother to death this morning in a White Plains courtroom.

Officials say Denise Castrocucco, 58, killed her mother Dorothy, 70, back in February. She was charged with assault in the second degree and served six weeks in jail until her brother paid her $5,000 bail. According to court testimony, Castrocucco has been taking part in several treatment programs, including Alcoholics Anonymous.

She pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and was sentenced to time served and five years probation.
