Yankees set out for 28th title

The New York Yankees are set for their 50th playoff appearance tonight against the Detroit Tigers, and scores of diehard fans started showing up at Yankee stadium hours before the game.The Bronx Bombers? star pitcher C.C. Sabathia is kicking off Game 1 of the American League division series. He'll be taking on the Tigers' Cy Young Award candidate Justin Verlander.The first pitch is set for 8:37 p.m.The Yankees must win the next 11 games to clinch their 28th World Series championship title.
