Cops eye gang violence in teen's murder

As the memorial grows for 15-year-old Steven Saez, police continue to investigate what led to the teen being shot dead in Yonkers on Saturday morning.

Officials say Saez was with a group of people who crashed a party at an apartment building on Purser Place when people began shooting.

Saez was fatally shot in the neck while another person was shot in the back and is expected to survive, according to authorities.

Police are continuing to investigate if the shooting was gang-related, saying that they believe the shooting stemmed from some sort of incident earlier in the day.

Investigators declined to name the two gangs that they believe were involved in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Yonkers police at 914-377-7724.
