Family, friends remember teen killed in Yonkers shooting

As family and friends today remember a teenager fatally shot in Yonkers, police are still on the hunt for his killers and remaining on high alert for possible retaliation.

There is a heavy police presence outside of the funeral home where 15-year-old Steven Saez is being remembered.

At one point, there were six police cruisers right across from where the funeral is taking place. Police say they were there to keep peace and make sure people stayed calm.

Officials say Saez was with a group of people on Saturday who crashed a party at an apartment building on Purser Place when people began shooting.

Saez was fatally shot in the neck while another person was shot in the back and is expected to survive, according to authorities.

Police are continuing to investigate what they call a gang-related shooting, saying that they believe the shooting stemmed from some sort of incident earlier in the day.
