Woman charged in deadly wrong-way crash in court today
The woman behind the wheel of a deadly wrong-way crash in New Rochelle while allegedly driving drunk is due in court today.
Tanisha Gomez, of Queens, is charged with manslaughter in the incident. Police say Gomez was was drunk and drove more than 6 miles in the wrong direction on I-95 last month. They say she slammed head-on into another car, killing the passenger.
The crash killed Reginald Lee, 29, of East Orange. The other man, from Elizabeth, survived.
If convicted, Gomez could be sentenced to 15 years in prison.
