Police: Mount Vernon man shot in city's 2nd shooting this week

Police in Mount Vernon are investigating a shooting last night that took place blocks away from where a woman was gunned down Monday. Police say the incident happened on South 15th Avenue at around 9 p.m. They say they received a report that shots had been fired, and that a man had been shot in the foot. Police are still searching for the person responsible for killing Gloria Nartey, 27, Monday night. They say Nartey was walking home from a grocery store when she was shot in the head.
