Mt. Kisco food pantry lending helping hand to city's hungry

Volunteers at St. Mark's Church in Mount Kisco lent a helping hand yesterday to feed the city's needy. The event, hosted by the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry, continues through October.Organizers say local businesses, such as Connie's Bakery, help make such community projects possible. "Not only have we been able to donate to them, but on occasion we have also donated whatever baked goods we have at the end of the day or end of the week," said Simeon Manber, of Connie's Bakery. "So we've been able to donate in different ways." Food pantry staffers say they hope they can continue collecting donations over the coming months.
