Somers residents continue protest outside Rep. Hayworth's office

Somers residents protested for the second time this week outside Rep. Nan Hayworth's (R-District 19) office.

Protesters, organized by the Internet website Moveon.org, claim that in the wake of the debt-ceiling vote, Hayworth is part of the constituency in Congress focused more on budget cuts than job growth.

The group created a 10-point program called the "Contract for the American Dream," which it plans on submitting to Hayworth's office. They say the plan calls for ways to fix the nation's economic woes, and was derived from a nationwide survey.

Protesters say they will keep coming back to Hayworth's office until their voices are heard.
