Yonkers mayor says push against gangs only beginning

Mayor Phil Amicone says police are just getting started cleaning up the streets of Yonkers a day after the city's largest gang raid ever.

Police have arrested one more suspected gang member, bringing the total to 63. Two suspects remain on the loose of the 65 who were listed in the indictment.

Investigators say the big bust includes members of the Cliff Street Gangsters and Elm Street Wolves, two groups that are accused of even resorting to murder to continue pushing crack on the streets.

Police Commissioner Edmund Hartnett believes many of the gang members will be going to prison for life and the others will most likely spend a minimum of 10 years behind bars if convicted.
