Shots fired again in Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon police are investigating another shooting incident in the city.

Police say they received reports of shots being fired in the area of North High Street just before 10 p.m. yesterday.

No one was reported injured.

Police say this is the third shooting in this week. On Monday, Gloria Nartey, 27, was fatally shot in the head on South 12th Avenue. On Tuesday, an unidentified 18-year-old was shot in the foot in a drive-by on South 15th Avenue.

Police have now ordered a lockdown on South 12th Avenue.
