More violence rocks Mount Vernon

Police say a man was shot and injured early Saturday morning on Mount Vernon Avenue.

This incident marks the fourth shooting in Mount Vernon this week.

Police have responded to the up tick in violence by establishing a mobile command post and increasing the patrols in the neighborhoods.

The spree of violence began with the shooting death of 27-year-old Gloria Narty as she walked home from the grocery store on Monday. Police say they do not have any suspects in her death.
