1 dead in suspicious Pomona fire

Investigators say a man was found dead after a suspicious fire broke out at a Pomona apartment complex this morning.

Officials say the fire, which just reignited, first started in the bedroom of the victim's first-floor apartment on Charles Lane. However, they say the man's body was found in the living room just 10 feet from the door.

Sources close to News 12 say the man's lifeless body was found underneath a blanket near a pool of blood.

Neighbors say the man was partially disabled.

Police say they are looking into the victim's death as a possible homicide or suicide. They say they have not yet determined how the fire started.
