Former head of North Castle Republican Party indicted
A former North Castle Republican Party chairwoman was indicted for mortgage fraud today.
Loronda Murphy is facing multiple charges, including mortgage fraud and grand larceny over an alleged mortgage fraud Ponzi scheme.
Murphy and New Rochelle attorney Scott Forcino are accused of scamming five homeowners, including her own father, as well as financial institutions of more than $1 million.
If convicted, Murphy faces five to 25 years in state prison.
