Police continue probe into apparent murder cover-up in Pomona

Police in Pomona are continuing to investigate after a man was found dead inside his home after it caught fire on Thursday.

Officials say Jason Ognendorf, 37, was found dead in his home with a sheet covering him after firefighters extinguished a fire at his home.

Police say Ogendorf had his throat cut and the fire appears to have been set to cover up evidence of a murder.

Investigators say they are still awaiting toxicology results before they officially determine a cause of death.
