National Weather Service to probe if tornado touched down yesterday

The National Weather Service came to Westchester County today to investigate whether a tornado touched down in Pleasantville yesterday while the severe storms rolled through the region.

The storm caused numerous fallen trees, one even crashing onto a roof of a home on Bedford Road.

The storm also caused trees to fall across the Saw Mill River Parkway in Chappaqua, forcing the road to be closed until the trees could be removed.

Putnam County was also hit hard by the storm, leaving numerous trees fallen and power lines strewn across the road.
