Officials: Quake had no impact on Indian Point nuclear plant

Officials say the Indian Point nuclear power plant suffered no impact as a result of the magnitude 5.8 earthquake that shook the East Coast.

Entergy spokesman Jerry Nappi says a crew of 15-20 people was inspecting all the equipment at the facility to ensure there is no damage.

The earthquake did cause two nuclear reactors in Virginia to automatically shut down as a result of the quake, but there are no reports of damage.
