Yonkers Costco store reopens after earthquake

The Costco store in Yonkers reopened today after being closed due to yesterday's 5.8-magnitude earthquake. The entire facility was evacuated because of possible structural damage. Fire officials and building inspectors investigated the area, and determined it was safe for the public to return. Some shoppers said, despite being inconvenienced, they would rather take precautions than risk bodily injury. "It makes me feel better that after the earthquake, the structure should be checked," one customer said. Yonkers Fire Commissioner Anthony Pagano says the city's building department is working closely with Costco engineers to address any lingering concerns.Yonkers Costco evacuated after earthquake
