Arrest made in Pomona murder

Haverstraw police have arrested Jody-Ann Hemmings, 23, as a suspect in the murder of her ex- boyfriend Jason Ognenoff.

Investigators say Ognenoff and Hemmings met up the day before the incident, but it is unknown what lead to the crime.

Police found Hemmings at her New York City home this morning around 1:30 a.m. and arrested her on charges of murder in the second degree and arson in the second degree.

Obgnenoff's body was found stabbed multiple times in his burning Pomona home last week. Police believe Hemmings allegedly set the fire to cover up the murder.

Police plan on returning to Ognenoff's apartment today to search for the murder weapon.
