Shelves emptied by shoppers ahead of storm

Shoppers descended in droves on stores across the region to stock up ahead of Hurricane Irene.

At a Home Depot store, more than a dozen people waited in line, hoping for a new shipment of generators to arrive.

Also in low supply are flashlights and sump pumps. Workers at the store say they hope to receive another shipment ahead of the storm.
