WC Office of Emergency Management ready for Irene

The Westchester County Office of Emergency Management in Hawthorne continues to monitor Hurricane Irene.

Officials are working around the clock to make sure Westchester County is ready.

Spokesman Ned McCormack says officials continue to check in with all municipalities around the county to make sure they have everything they need.

McCormack also urged residents to take precautions before the storm including stocking up on water and food. He also advised residents to check on their neighbors, especially the elderly.
