Interview: OC commissioner of Emergency Services

News 12 spoke with the Orange County Commissioner of Emergency Services today on Hurricane Irene and what the county is doing to prepare.

Commissioner Walter C. Koury said the county will be declaring a state of emergency soon. He said rain will begin to pick up this evening and that the county is expected to see between 10 and 12 inches of rain by Sunday evening.

Koury said in response to the hurricane the emergency operations center has been activated in Goshen and will continue to operate 24-7 until further notice.
