Village of Mamaroneck hit hard by Irene

Hurricane Irene wreaked havoc across Westchester County, especially in the Village of Mamaroneck, which was left with heavy flooding and many downed trees.

Earlier in the day, the heavily traveled Mamaroneck Avenue was flooded, leaving it impassable in certain spots. Thankfully, water has receded, letting officials open the road back up.

One deli owner says his flooding left him with $20,000 worth of damage. Mayor Norman Rosenblum says he hopes to have things back to normal in the village in about a weeks time.
