Astorino tours the Hudson Valley to assess storm damage

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino toured the Hudson Valley Sunday to assess the damage from Hurricane Irene.

Astorino said Con Ed employees were working around-the-clock to get power back to the thousands currently left in the dark. He also stated that many roads were still closed thanks to the flooding left by Hurricane Irene.

Astorino says the county airport was expected to open back up to arriving flights at 3 p.m. Monday. He said to expect some delays and for more accurate information to call the airline carriers.
