NYS Thruway, all WC parkways reopened after intense flooding

The New York State Thruway and the rest of Westchester's parkways have reopened after intense flooding shut them for several days. The Saw Mill, Bronx River and Taconic parkways are open for service after rains from Tropical Storm Irene caused floodwaters to inundate the guard rails. However, county police say traffic lights are not working on Executive Boulevard in Yonkers, Lawrence Street in Dobbs Ferry and Marble Avenue in Pleasantville.
