Sewage backup in Yonkers may be cause of foul smell

Residents in Yonkers are complaining about a foul odor emanating from areas covered by floodwaters during the storm. They say the stench is mostly coming from Executive Boulevard, Hearst Street, Nepperhan and Clunie avenues and the Saw Mill River Parkway. Many residents say they believe the smell is a result of a sewage backup. "The smell is terrible in our neighborhood," one resident said. "It smells like feces."
