The tragic events of Sept. 11 have been dissected from many angles, but would an almost-forgotten weather front have changed the course of history?
News 12 Meteorologist Joe Rao recalls that during his weather forecast the day before the terrorist attacks, he was following images of a storm named Erin, a powerful Category 3 hurricane that was off the East Coast and moving toward the Hudson Valley.
But a cold front moving through the Hudson Valley ultimately pushed Erin away from the East Coast and lamentably allowed for a pristine morning the day of the attacks.
