Cops investigate fatal Phillipstown car crash

A Garrison family is in mourning after its 17-year-old son was killed in a car crash last night.

Michael Mulcamphy, a junior at Walter Panas High School, was killed when the car he was riding in flipped over on Sprout Brook Road in Phillipstown, according to officials.

Police say the driver survived and they don't believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, but are investigating whether speed played a factor.

Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 914-788-8044 ext. 119.
