Mt. Vernon residents celebrate Fourth of July at St. Paul's Church

Hundreds of residents gathered on the front lawn of the historic St. Paul's Church in Mount Vernon today to celebrate the Fourth of July as it was done hundreds of years ago.

Organizers say the annual ceremony brings large crowds back every year because it connects people with the country?s history.

The ceremony included 19th Century music, as well as speeches from local politicians and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.
