Police: Garrison teen killed in crash, partially ejected from car

Police say a teenager from Garrison has been killed after the car he was riding in flipped and crashed into a stone wall.The accident happened Saturday night on Sprout Brook Road in Garrison. Cops say the passenger, Michael Mullamphy, 17, was partially ejected from the passenger window because he was not wearing his seatbelt. They say Mullamphy died instantly.

Police say the driver, Matthew Falcone, was not injured.The crash occurred down the street from Mullamphy's home, where witnesses say they ran to get help.Neighbors say the curvy road is dangerous, especially at night. Cops say Falcone was also likely traveling well above the 30 mph speed limit.Mullamphy was going to be a senior at Walter Panas High School in the fall. He was a fullback on the school's football team.Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
