Cleanup continues after fire leaves 26 homeless

Cleanup efforts continue today, after an overnight fire in White Plains left six families homeless.

Flames broke out just before 2 a.m. Tuesday, at the multifamily home located on Robertson Avenue.

All 26 people were able to get out safely, but two were taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

It took about 40 firefighters an hour to get the smoke and flames under control.

Investigators say the fire started in the front right corner of the basement and there was a lot of debris making it hard to get in.
