Spierer family to hold reunion in IN to thank search volunteers

The parents of missing Edgemont native Lauren Spierer will hold a reunion this weekend in Bloomington, Ind., as a way of saying thank you to all the volunteers who are helping in the search for their daughter.

Robert and Charlene Spierer are still in Indiana, and said they will hold the "Laps for Lauren" event this weekend on the campus of Indiana University, where Lauren had just finished her sophomore year as a fashion major. Her parents say they want to do it to thank all the volunteers who have helped them, and also remind the public that the search is still ongoing.

Spierer disappeared in Bloomington on June 3 after a night out partying with friends. While police have questioned people of interest, no trace of her has been found.
