Extra hours in Greenburgh for same-sex marriage licenses
In two weeks, same-sex couples can legally get married and some towns and village clerk's offices will open that weekend to help with the process.
The Greenburgh Town Clerk's Office will be open from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 24 to accommodate couples who want to pick up same-sex marriage licenses.
In the event that New York State approves a waiver of the 24-hour waiting period, Greenburgh officials say they will also be happy to officiate marriage ceremonies that very same day.
On July 20, The LOFT, a gay community services center in White Plains, will be offering a legal clinic to same-sex couples looking to make it official.
