Some Westchester residents without phone service for 2 weeks

Dozens of residents who live in the Hilltop Acres Complex say they've had no phone service since the end of June.

Verizon, which services the complex, says severe weather and flooding destroyed its cables causing the outage.

Residents without cell phones are concerned about their safety.

"What's going to happen if there's an emergency? It's rough, very rough," says Yonkers resident Cathrine Corticcio.

Phone officials say they are working on the problem.
