West Harrison fire truck catches fire

Firefighters in Nyack were called in Tuesday to put out a blaze on a West Harrison fire truck.

Crews were hosing down the cabin and front-end of the truck with water shortly before the fire broke out on Birchwood Drive around 3:45 p.m.

Officials say the truck was being serviced at a nearby shop and that it burst into flames during a test drive.

Clarkstown police say fire and water damage have destroyed tanker.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the blaze, but say so far, it does not appear to be suspicious.
