Woman recovers after crash into Bronx River

A woman is recovering today after losing control of her car on the Bronx River Parkway, flying over a guardrail, and plunging into the Bronx River.

According to Charles Buono, 50, Amanda Diaz, 24, of New Rochelle was stuck in her car, but he and Hasani Bassue, of the Bronx, jumped in to save her.

"I go down there and open the door, he gets in, hands her to me, and we walk her up the embankment, put her down, and waited for the ambulance," says Buono.
