Murder rocks Rockland County Hasidic community

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the wedding that Levi Aron attended in New Square on Monday.

Aron told police that he took 8 year-old Leiby Kletzky with him to a wedding at the Ateres Charna New Square catering hall, but detectives are still investigating whether that claim is true.

The wedding hall's manager, Izzy Goldstein, says like so many in this tight-knit Jewish community, he's horrified an accused murderer may have been among them.

Goldstein also says New York City detectives traveled to the catering hall Wednesday and downloaded surveillance video from the wedding for their investigation.

He adds that as many as 600 people, including dozens of children, were packed into Ateras Charna on Monday night.

Many people at the wedding have told News 12 that they don't recall seeing either the suspect or the boy at the wedding.
