Mt. Kisco couple's same-sex marriage to be recognized in NY

A same-sex married couple in Mount Kisco is eagerly anticipating this weekend, when New York's same-sex marriage law officially goes into effect.

Brian Sheerin and Ken Weissenberg say they are ecstatic that their commitment to each other will finally be recognized in their home state because it will give them a sense of belonging that they couldn't otherwise provide.

The couple first met in early 1997 and married in Massachusetts in 2004. They have since adopted two daughters and say they live a very happy suburban lifestyle with their family.
