Yonkers library reopened after losing air conditioning

The Yonkers Riverfront Library has reopened after a power outage knocked out the air conditioning yesterday afternoon. The building, which also houses the Yonkers Board of Education, lost electricity when a circuit breaker failed. Patrons were temporarily evacuated, but later sent home for good when power could not be restored. Some residents said they were frustrated by the situation, but others shook it off and headed back today to escape the heat.Power outage sparks Yonkers evacuations amid heat wave
