Saunders H.S. teacher headed to trial in sex-abuse case
A Yonkers high school teacher accused of sexually abusing some of his male students and changing their grades is set to go on trial.
Saunders High School computer teacher Dean Martin was arrested last May for allegedly changing students' exam scores in the school's computer system. He's also accused of sexual abuse and forcibly touching a male student.
Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore charged Martin with a 36-count indictment, including 17 counts of forgery and three counts of sex abuse.
Martin's lawyer says he expects the trial to start sometime in the fall.
Meanwhile, Martin remains suspended with pay from the Yonkers School District. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison.
