Monsey dad accused of leaving toddler inside car

A Monsey father was busted for allegedly making a potentially deadly mistake by leaving his 2-year-old daughter inside a parked car for hours during the intense heat wave.

Police say Joel Stein accidentally left his toddler inside his car in their West Maple Avenue driveway, for two hours yesterday afternoon, while temperatures ticked up over 100 degrees.

The little girl was checked out of Nyack Hospital and released to her parents.

Her father was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment, officials say.
