Rockland County teen mauled by grizzly bear

A Rockland teen is in critical condition after being mauled by a grizzly bear in Alaska on Sunday.

Joshua Berg, 17, of New City, was attacked by the bear while attending a survivor skills course 120 miles north of Anchorage, AK.

Berg was one of four teens who were hospitalized with injures after the attack. The group was on a month-long National Outdoor Leadership School back-country course and was in the Talkeetna Mountains east of Denali National Park.

Joshua's neighbors say this is his third straight year in Alaska.
