Governor shuts down 8 tour bus companies

In an effort to crack down on dangerous tour bus operations, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is suspending the licenses of eight tour bus companies.

Cuomo says the suspended licenses are due to repeated failed safety inspections.

The companies, including Yonkers-based Silver Star Limo on Yonkers Avenue, have come under closer scrutiny since the deadly crash on I-95 in March which claimed the lives of 15 people.
