Hudson River still not safe

Restrictions are still in place for parts of the Hudson River south of Hastings.

A sewage spill last week in Manhattan put the river off limits to swimmers and kayakers.

Health officials have been testing the water in the area and have lifted all limits from Hastings north.

Data from the Riverkeeper environmental watchdog organization shows that along the river's eastern shoreline, pollution levels rose dramatically south of Yonkers.

Riverkeeper is re-sampling Monday the 25th. A revised update will be available late morning, Wednesday the 27th
