Yonkers restores school bus service
The Yonkers school district is restoring bus service to children who live a mile and a half away from their schools.
As a result of the budget crisis the district pushed the distance a child could get a bus to two miles.
A spokesperson from the school district says a 2-mile minimum would have been a hardship for families.
The money to pay for the busing will come from a fund earmarked for technology and textbooks.
