Biggest Losers: WC hospital workers shed 1,000 lbs.

The White Plains Hospital staff is a collective-1,000 pounds lighter after competing against each other, and themselves, in a weight-loss contest modeled after the popular reality-TV show, "The Biggest Loser."

Operating Nurse Ed Aquino, of Yonkers, was one of 100 employees who signed up to shed pounds, and ended up losing more than any other employee after dropping 32 pounds. Aquino says that his secret was to make exercise less of a chore. "Basically, make it fun, and at the same time, make a variety out of it."

Winners of the contest received three-month health club memberships to help continue their fight to stay slim.
