3 accused of exposing kids to PCP appear in court

Three people accused of exposing six children to the drug PCP in Yonkers last week appeared in court today.

Yonkers police say they received a report of a sick child at a home on Van Cortlandt Park Avenue last Friday evening, and found three sick children when they arrived.

The children's aunt and uncle, who were baby-sitting when the kids became ill, were arrested, along with a North Carolina resident who was with them at the time.

Their lawyer, however, says the three are innocent and that drug tests have proven that none of the them had PCP in their systems. The lawyer also said no traces of PCP were found in the apartment either.

Meanwhile, bail was set for the three suspects at $2,500 each and they are due back in court on June 14.
