Neighbors still reeling from guilty verdict for Pound Ridge man

Residents in Pound Ridge are still in shock that one of their neighbors was found guilty of luring young woman from overseas and forcing them into sex slavery.

Joseph Yannai, a 67-year-old author, was convicted by a federal jury in Brooklyn yesterday.

"Its horrible," said Lou Fierro, "You don't have words to describe what that was, this is a civilized country that we live in, that shouldn't happen anywhere, let alone right here."

Officials say Yannai has attempted to commit suicide twice, most recently last week during jury deliberations, and was not in the courtroom when the verdict was read.

Yannai faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced.
